Benefits

KTS provides the following benefits to full-time employees:

  • 120 hours paid time off per year for the first 2 years of employment.  160 hours paid time off per year for 2-5 years of employment. 200 hours paid time off per year for 5-12 years of employment.  240 hours paid time off per year for 12 plus years of employment. The amount of paid time off that can be carried over into the next year is the amount that you accrue annually.
  • Eleven paid holidays which include: New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Day, Washington’s Birthday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and One floating holiday.
  • Other paid time off includes:  Jury duty, Voting leave, Military leave, and Bereavement leave.
  • Group health insurance is carried through CIGNA for Medical and Dental coverage.  Vision coverage is provided by Vision Service Plan.
  • KTS’s retirement program is considered a Safe Harbor plan with two components:  a Regular 401(k) plan and a Roth 401(k). KTS will make a matching contribution up to a 8% of an employee’s salary deferral amount.
  • Life insurance and AD&D is provided at $100,000 at no cost to the employee. Long Term Disability and Short Term Disability are also provided at no cost to the employee. There are options available for additional coverage for employee and dependents at employee’s expense. Plus additional Progressive Income Benefit of 10% if criteria for Activities of Daily Living (ADL) is met.
  • Educational assistance is provided as a reimbursement benefit for college courses, up to $5,000 annually.
  • Section 125 Flexible Spending Plan is available for child care, unreimbursed medical expenses and medical insurance premiums with maximums of $5,000 for dependent care and $5,000 for unreimbursed medical expenses.
  • Long Term Care Benefit- $2,000 a month for 3 years if criteria for Activities of Daily Living (ADL) is met.

  • Employee reimbursement up to $100 per month to defray the cost of employees’ use of mass transit, when available.
